Parabola Project; Origins

The Parabola Project Volume I, Issue I; ‘Origins’ is a very stylish anthology showcasing the talent of Cornwall’s writing scene that has been devised, edited and published by the organisers of Telltales, a monthly reading night and writers’ hub, and designed by Venn Creative. It was published in November 2010 and in June 2011 was awarded a Media and Innovation Award for ‘Best Graphics’, described as ‘a beautifully crafted object that augments its content exceptionally well, celebrating print and the beauty of the written word.’

My short story Paper to Stone appears on p60 with a great illustration by Ursula Freeman.

Essential Writers said, “The other standout piece for me… had me gasping with dismay – a powerful emotional response to engender in a little under three pages. Paper To Stone by Jo Thomas was worth the £4 RRP alone.” Read the full review here.

Copies are available from the (where there’s also lots more about the project and featured writers) or from a range of stockists around Cornwall and all proceeds go towards producing further issues so that even more writers and illustrators will benefit from seeing their work in print.
