26 Flavours

26 Flavours of Cornwall was a tasty exhibition of writing and design, organised by the national writers’ association 26, working with the Cornwall Design Forum and University College Falmouth.

I was one of 26 writers paired with one of 26 designers. Each team was then matched with an item of Cornish produce and challenged  to come up with a piece of art combining words and design in the form of A3 paper table-settings. I worked with designers Tim Guy and Matt Grocutt and we were lucky enough to be required to be inspired by beer! Here’s my blog post about our ‘research’ trip to Skinner’s brewery.

The exhibition was first shown at Trebah Garden in Cornwall in July 2011. It was also shown at The Poly in Falmouth during Falmouth Week, from 6th to 14 August, and then again at the Lander Gallery in Truro between 16th and 30th September.
